A soft spring wedding at the 5th of Novi | Novi, MI

Sydney and Andrew finally tied the knot on April 30, 2022 at the 5th of Novi. They are high school sweethearts who officially started their family 4 years ago when their daughter, Delaney, was born. Delaney was a huge part of their wedding celebration and the star of some of my favorite images! I love all of the sweet moments of her with her parents, grandparents, and friends.

When Sydney first contacted me about photographing her wedding and mentioned that she was a wedding photographer herself, I was both flattered and nervous! I know how much she values wedding photography, so I showed up on their wedding day ready to do the BEST possible job for them. I was lucky to have not only one but two second photographers (and friends!) to help me with the task. Between the three of us, this is my largest ever wedding gallery!

The weather was overcast and slightly chilly, but Sydney and Andrew had the most beautiful outdoor ceremony on the 5th’s rooftop. I LOVE the soft, glowy light they had during their ceremony and especially during their sunset portraits that we took later in the same spot!

My favorite part of Sydney and Andrew’s wedding day was witnessing the tender emotions that were so present throughout the day. Lots of happy tears were shed during their ceremony and toasts (the sweetest! Andrew’s best man gave one of the most heartfelt speeches I have ever heard!). There was so much love throughout the day: love between Sydney and Andrew, love for Delaney, love from family and friends. It was really beautiful and such an honor to capture!

I’m so glad Sydney chose to have me capture her wedding day (and I’m glad to be able to call her a friend and photographer “colleague” now too! What a bonus!)
