A classically elegant wedding with family history ties | Birmingham, MI

Emily and Ben’s wedding was so special for so many reasons. They incorporated many ties to their family history, like photos with Emily’s dad classic Jaguar car (which was originally owned by her great grandfather!). Ben wore a family Rolex watch. They married in the same church Emily’s grandparents married in. They broke from family tradition on one major thing (and only out of necessity); they originally planned to get married at Oakland County Country Club as so many others in their family have, but the club burned down only two days after they signed their contract. So it was up to Emily and Ben to forge their own path and find a new venue, and they fell in love with the Daxton Hotel in Birmingham.

One word I would use to describe their wedding day is JOY! Emily and Ben are both joyful, bubbly, fun-loving people. Their day had the best positive energy and was so much fun from start to finish.
