A romantic May wedding at Saint John’s Resort | Plymouth, MI

Lauren and Tommy’s wedding was a highlight for me in my 2022 wedding season. The reason? Because these two share a connection that can best be described as electric. It really took minimal posing and prompting to create timeless, romantic images for them; these two brought the romance themselves. Every time they were together, they were smiling at one another and connected in some sort of embrace. Their love was truly palpable.

Their wedding day was one of those days that’s just easy, comfortable, and fun. Friends and family showered Lauren and Tommy with so much love. The toasts were some of the best I’ve heard (fun fact: I LOVE wedding toasts.)

The fun continued at their reception, when all of a sudden, many of the guests starting sporting elaborate antique hats and bows. It’s a family tradition at every wedding: Lauren’s aunt brings out her hat collection and passes them out for family members and friends to wear. I loved seeing all of the fun hats on the dance floor, and I have to say that it really added to the party!

I’m so glad Lauren and Tommy chose me to document their special day. It’s a huge honor to be invited to such an intimate event, and I always walk away feeling connected to the bride and groom and their families. I love the beautiful images we created together from this very special day!
