A light-soaked summer engagement shoot at Stony Creek Metropark | Shelby Twp, MI

Peyton and Drew’s engagement shoot is going down as one of my favorites! We had the dreamiest light all day and ended our session with a sunset over the lake at Stony Creek. With fields of tall grass and a champagne pop, I was in photographer heaven. But it wasn’t just the weather and the beautiful backdrop that made my job so easy… Peyton and Drew are SO sweet together! These two had the best chemistry and everything came so easily to them all night long. I adore when couples have fun and laugh together during their photos, and this was totally the case for Peyton and Drew. It’s always a sign of great things to come.

Peyton and Drew went to high school together, but they didn’t start dating until they reconnected several years after graduating. After two and a half years together, Drew popped the question at Chateau Chantal winery in Traverse City, MI (one of Peyton’s favorite places). It was an easy “yes,” and after spending a few hours with them, I can see why… these two were made for one another.
