A downtown wedding full of guest surprises at the iconic Fox Theater | Detroit, MI

Sunshine and Jeff Glover’s wedding invitation suite only listed the ceremony information. The reception venue? Kept a surprise until right after they sealed their union with a kiss at St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown Detroit. Guests were informed to walk across the street to the iconic Fox Theater, where they dined on the same stage that all of the greats have played upon. The surprises didn’t end there, though. The Detroit Lions very own drumline, the Honolulu Boom, introduced the newlyweds into their reception down the grand staircase at the Fox. After an incredible evening of dining and dancing, Sunshine changed into a second look and the couple was reintroduced down the staircase again, this time by Detroit’s own Gmac Cash, who performed a custom rap about the couple. The entire day was planned to surprise and delight guests, and it’s safe to say that their mission was accomplished. It was a night every attendee won’t soon forget.
